Newsletter 13 - March 2010 (special edition)

tagline 1

Aloha!

The Hawai'i Homegrown Food Newsletter has been published monthly since April 2009 with a primary purpose in mind: To build local, sustainable food communities on Hawai'i Island. The newsletter connects people to each other, events, markets, and resources, and will continue to do so.

Today is the public launch of the Hawai'i Homegrown Food Network web site. The site gives you new capabilities:

  • An events calendar that is updated as new announcements come in, rather than only monthly in the newsletter.
  • Archives of events reports, publication reviews, featured organizations, videos & dvds, announcements, etc.
  • A community page where you can find other people interested in local and sustainble food and interact with them.
  • Site members (it's free to become a member) can submit events, reports, and announcements using online forms.
  • And much more.

Please visit the site and take it for a test drive. Please see below for easy links to material newly posted since the last newsletter.

We welcome your comments and suggestions for making the site even more useful to you.
